our services

  • We’ve been through a lot in the last few years and it’s much more commonplace to seek help. Our identities have shifted, values have changed or evolved, and for many of us, relationships have grown stronger or collapsed. Isolation has been real. Depression and anxiety have ticked up. Whatever your circumstance, counseling can be tremendously valuable. We offer a safe place to learn tangible tools for managing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and many difficulties you might encounter.

We are not the right resource for anyone with a thought or psychotic disorder, substance use disorder, or anyone in need of higher levels of support and case management which include but are not limited to severe mental illness, substance abuse, eating disorders, and active homicidal or suicidal ideations.

  • Our relationships have been through a lot in the past few years. Many couples came out of the pandemic stronger while others came out broken up or in greater crisis. Creating trust, safety and healthy intimacy are high level priorities to us.

Depending on your therapist, you’ll get to know skills from Emotion Focused Therapy or the Gottman Method which are both research-based approaches to understanding relationships. We’ll get to know you and your relationship and offer communication and conflict management skills and insight-driven feedback. Should couples therapy not be indicated at this time, which happens when serious risk is present, we’ll guide you to other resources.

Our couples include all gender identities, sexual orientations, and relationship structures. You are welcome here.

  • We have many kiddos and teens working with us. The last few years have been challenging to say the least for kids and families managing Zoom classrooms, unpredictable schedules, overwhelm and isolation. Significant developmental milestones shifted in time and space and other strengths developed.

As a whole family system, it’s okay to need help. We have plenty of kids and adolescents who have requested a safe space to talk. We have some with neurodivergent attributes, including great strengths, who need help understanding how to work with them. So much happens in childhood and adolescence and we’re here to support you through talk, play, art, music, and family sessions.

We encourage parents to be involved and we understand each case is unique. As family systems therapists, we believe the whole impacts its parts and vice versa but we will ask our clients to guide us based on their experience.

  • Our nurse practitioners are exceptional clinicians who take a holistic approach to physical and mental health and explore all treatment options before prescribing medication. The last few years have been challenging and we’ve seen an uptick in depression and anxiety as well as an amplification of pre-existing mental health diagnoses.

This is all okay and you do not need to suffer through your symptoms.

Medication is a normal treatment option to explore. It does not have to be forever. And, research tells us that medication in conjunction with therapy is quite effective.

  • Acupuncture and East Asian Medicine are alternative forms of treatment intended to restore the balance between mind and body. Our acupuncturist, Joleen, offers a range of modalities from acupuncture, shiatsu massage, and cupping, to lifestyle and nutritional coaching.

She specializes in mental health and brings extensive experience with many populations and presenting issues to her client care. She’s extremely trauma-informed as she provided care to survivors of sexual and domestic assault for more than 10 years. Pregnant and postpartum women are also a specialty along with digestive issues and chronic pain.

So much can be helped with acupuncture, beyond physical conditions. Our acupuncturist’s gentle approach and loving presence is one instant healing benefit.
